Erectile Dysfunction Rates for U.S. Cities

Posted by PRS on April 3rd, 2009

U.S. Erectile Dysfunction RatesDetermining the prevalence of erectile dysfunction within the United States is no easy task. To my knowledge there have been no official studies performed to calculate the exact size of the male population suffering with this condition. Given the sensitivity of the subject, I'm not entirely certain that such a census could even be accurately conducted. There is however an unofficial study that was recently published in Men's Health magazine that attempts to rank the frequency of erectile dysfunction within 100 U.S. cities based on several specific factors.

Erection Problems Affect All Ages

Posted by PRS on October 29th, 2008

Young and Older ManMost people falsely assume that erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition that only affects older men. While it's true that it does tend to become more prevalent with aging, this in no way rules out it's occurrence in men who are much younger. As a matter of fact, I personally experienced issues with ED when I was only in my early 20's. bare chest manMillions of men around the world suffer from weak and small erections. In recent years a greater awareness of this problem has led to a boom in pharmaceutical drugs like Viagra and Cialis. Unfortunately these erectile dysfunction medications provide only temporary relief and are not, in and of themselves, a true cure. Effectively fighting impotence over the long-term means understanding that the penis needs to be naturally stimulated in order to remain vibrant and healthy.

Impotence and Aging

Posted by PRS on October 17th, 2007

aging doctorThere is an unmistakable connection between growing older and impotence. Some studies even suggest that at least one in every ten men over the age of 40 will encounter complete erectile dysfunction (i.e. they cannot achieve an erection at all). This however, does not necessarily mean older men cannot experience an active and fulfilling sex life. Understanding the factors that contribute to erectile dysfunction and finding effective impotence treatments is the key to maintaining harder and longer erections.

Posted by PRS on August 7th, 2007

stressed manErectile Dysfunction (ED) is defined as the inability to maintain or sustain an erection. It has been estimated that between 25 and 30 million men will encounter this problem during their lifetime. While luckily most of these cases are only temporary, erection problems are still very embarrassing and can have an extremely negative impact on both self confidence and the male ego.
