Virtual Sex Machines

Robot Growing up I had always been an avid fan of Science Fiction novels and movies. While this was still pre-Internet days, I always found myself completely fascinated with new and emerging technologies. One theme that I continually found myself running into was "virtual reality" and how it seemed to be the inevitable path of the future. Well, while we're still far off from the days of robotic companions, it does seem like the future may be a lot closer than we thought… introducing the "Virtual Sex Machine!"

While searching around the Internet, I recently came across a website promoting a device that apparently simulates sex. Created by a company named Virtual Reality Innovations, this machine hooks up to your PC and through the use of video and a mechanical stimulation, allows for a sexual experience without actually having a physical partner.

They also claim on their website that the system helps with sexual dysfunctions. While I haven't actually tried the system I can see how it might be helpful for combating things such as premature ejaculation. On the other hand, that can be done just as easily with some penis exercise techniques and for a lot less money – the price tag for this gadget looks to be pretty hefty and comes in at over $400.

This machine is certainly not going to be replacing good old fashioned sex anytime soon. Heck, it's not even close to those "robo-babes" I had read about in sci-fi novels over 20 years ago! But it will be interesting to see what the future holds in terms of technological advancements in the realm of sexual pleasures.
