Male Anatomy and Prostate DiagramThe physical function of the prostate gland is ejaculation. Through stimulation of the penis, the prostate swells with fluids. These fluids contain nutrients, hormones and energy (bioelectrical energy know as Chi). These are the substance of the semen that acts as a carrier for the sperm that is produced in the testicles.

An average male ejaculation produces approximately one tablespoon of semen. The extremes in this instance can represent almost five times this amount (with the help of herbal semen volumizers) or considerable less than a tablespoon (possibly only a few drops).

We now know through medical analysis that the nutritional makeup of an average amount of semen is equal to two pieces of a New York Steak, ten eggs, six oranges and two lemons combined. That includes vitamins, proteins, minerals and amino acids.

As you can plainly see, an ejaculation represents an enormous amount of lost energy. This coincides with the drained feeling of exhaustion that is experienced by a man after ejaculation commonly called "coming" (technically it should be called "going"). Taoist teaching considers this to be a man's great sacrifice.

As the prostate gland swells through stimulation to its maximum capacity, it begins a rapid series of contractions shrinking it back down to its normal size (actually it temporarily becomes slightly smaller than normal) much like a deflated balloon reacting to the moisture that was present when it was inflated. The contractions squeeze the fluid from the prostate through the urethra into the penis and out through the tip of the penis. Orgasm is a result of these contractions.

Each time the prostate swells and then relaxes it draws sperm from the testicles. Ancient Taoist records confirmed by modern scientific research states that is possible for a male to have as many as twenty contractions upon orgasm. Since ejaculation is a function of the prostate, a person with prostate problems may experience as few as five contractions within an orgasm or possibly only one. According to teachings, if there is a problem with the prostate, there will be a problem with ejaculation.

The male sex glands consist of the prostate and the testicles. The penis is not considered part of the sex glands because it does not produce anything. It is a tube through which the glands secretions can pass. It is merely a cog in the wheel that allows the entire process to function. The testicles produce sperm (fluid) and the prostate produces semen with its potent combination of proteins, nutrients, hormones and energy.

Ejaculation of semen includes several hundred million live sperm resulting in a loss of energy and a lost erection.

The Taoist remedy for this loss of vital energy is a technique known as "injaculation." As the male "injaculates", he retains the vital nutrients, hormones and Chi energy and the ability to maintain his erection. This process allows him, through intercourse, to take the woman up through the "Nine Levels of Complete Taoist Orgasm." What is commonly thought of as a woman's orgasm actually only represents the fourth level in this nine level sequence.

During the first forty years of life, men and women die at about the same rate. Life Insurance companies produce actuarial tables that will attest to these figures. This is due to the fact that men are losing vast amounts of energy through ejaculation and women through menstruation. Simply put, men ejaculate and women bleed. By the age of fifty, most women have already gone through menopause. During this period of time, men continue to ejaculate resulting in a 25% higher death rate for men than women. By age 60 men die at an even higher rate than women as almost all women have passed through the menopausal cycle by that time. By the age of seventy the differential in death rate climbs dramatically as men continue to deplete themselves through ejaculation. This phenomenon is the overlooked reason why there are so many more widows (women) than widowers (men).

Taoism is not theoretical. It's teachings and practical methods have been in use for thousands of years and are only recently being confirmed by modern scientific research and actuarial records which, for the most part, have only been in existence for the past 100 years.

In the case of premature ejaculation, the problem is actually a weakened prostate. To correct the problem, the "Deer Exercise" (described in the Taoist Sexual Exercise Set) is recommended. It will strengthen the prostate. In addition, gentle, circular prostate massage is a valuable technique (located at the soft indentation between the anus and the testicles). Adding Lotus seeds in the diet will also benefit the functioning of the prostate.

It has become common in our society to depend on drugs and medication to address problems that create new problems from their side effects. The Taoist techniques have been used successfully for thousands of years, side effect free... it is the natural way.
