Woman with No OrgasmFemale orgasmic dysfunction, or anorgasmia, refers to a condition where women either cannot achieve orgasm or have a difficult time reaching orgasm when sexually excited. It is estimated that nearly 15% of all women report some difficulty with achieving an orgasm. While there are various reasons why females experience this problem, a recent study cites one factor attributed to orgasm dysfunction as being penis size, or more precisely, an inadequate penile thickness necessary for producing orgasm.

Published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, this particular study consisted of a group of women between the ages of 18 and 40 years old. Within this group, it was calculated that the prevalence of orgasmic dysfunction was 18.3%.

Although marital status (married or single) and age were both identified as contributing factors to orgasmic dysfunction (OD), one specific variable that had a significant impact was a dissatisfaction with the thickness and/or size of the penis itself.

Study Conclusion

"OD is a prevalent alteration in young women. Marital status, education, and dissatisfaction with thickness/size of partner's penis are definitely related variables."

For many, these results will not come as a surprise. Even as the significance of penis size remains a contentious issue, popular opinion tends to validate that the size of the penis does in fact matter - both to males and females.

What this study helps confirm is that penis thickness, rather than penis length, is more of a determining factor when it comes to generating sexual arousal. Anatomically speaking, it seems logical that a thicker penis will stimulate a greater surface area within the vagina thus increasing the likelihood of orgasm. This also correlates with data collected from several polls and surveys conducted on our own website from over the last 10 years.

This of course doesn't mean that penile length is of no consequence. Having a lengthy member is also important in terms of maximizing vaginal stimulation. The results of this study simply favors the argument that girth appears to be the more influential penis measurement in the context of sexual gratification.

Based on these observations, men seeking to enlarge the size of their penis would do well in choosing a method that increases both length and girth simultaneously. Traction devices for instance have become popular due to the fact that not only are they effective at increasing length but penis extenders also increase width.

Exactly how big a penis needs to be to maximize the likeliness of female orgasm is uncertain. Finding the perfect combination of length and thickness is probably only feasible on a case-by-case basis.
