Studies have shown there exists a definite link between Zinc and the production of sperm by the testicles. In one such study a group of men were given daily supplements of Folic Acid and Zinc Sulphate in order to assess the effects on spermatogenesis. Researchers found these substances significantly increased the sperm concentration in sub-fertile men.
This particular study was conducted over a period of 26 weeks. A daily dosage of 5 milligrams of Folic Acid and 66 milligrams of Zinc Sulphate was used and no reported side effects were observed.
While the mechanisms behind sperm concentration are still somewhat unclear and require further study, it's clear that both Zinc and Folic Acid help to increase fertility in men. Some all-natural penis enlargement formulas and semen volumizers such as those provided by ProSolution and VolumePills, list Zinc as one of their key ingredients. In addition to Zinc, many contain Solidilin, Drilizen and Cordyceps, nutrients that help to improve the hormonal and vascular systems in order to increase sperm quantity and increase blood flow to the genitals.
Although supplementing your diet with a daily intake of vitamins and minerals is generally a healthy choice, it is always advisable to consult your physician first. It is also wise to perform a sperm test before starting any type of treatment and another at the end of the supplementation period in order to record any change in the concentration of sperm.
