Putting Your Penis On Ice

Recently a new "cure" for premature ejaculation has been making some headlines. Basically it's a topical anesthetic spray that when applied to the penis will cause a numbing effect. The general concept behind this idea is that if there is less sensation in the penis, ejaculating too quickly is less likely to happen. But is effectively putting your penis "on ice" the way to go?
