For centuries they had examined the use of herbs, discovering new ways of manipulating Chi (energy) flow and special meditation techniques in the sole purpose of searching for immortality. During this period of Taoism they discovered many truths that can be applied to today's modern world of science and medicine. In many ways they far surpassed our own understanding of the nature of promoting lasting health and extending life.</p>
<p>The ancient immortal, Lao Tse is quoted as saying,</p>
<p><em>"When one does not incur small diseases,<br />
one will not incur serious diseases.<br />
When one incurs no serious diseases,<br />
one will never die."</em></p>
<p>What this means is, people die from two things, disease and the deterioration of cells. In order to prevent disease a person must protect their immune system. Thousands of years ago they correctly determined that if a person keeps their body's resistance high, they will not be affected by germs, bacteria and viruses. It is said, "A person who is weak with low resistance can be killed by one germ." Therefore, aging is a result of deterioration, death of, or the inability to replace damaged cells. If our cells are always fresh, we will not age and if we do not age we will not die. Both prevention of disease and cell degeneration can be achieved through the dedicated practice of the teachings of Taoist sexual techniques.</p>
<h2 class="title">Sexual Health &#8211; The Taoist Approach</h2>
<p>The ancient Taoists were not abstract philosophers. They were practical people. As practitioners of highly effective methods which they themselves had devised through trial and error, if they discovered a technique did not work, it was discarded. They only developed and used techniques that worked.</p>
<p>Modern medical science's approach toward healing is more closely related to a classic form of warfare. They locate germs, bacteria and viruses and try to find ways in which to kill them. The use of antibiotics is a result of an attempt to accomplish this.</p>
<p>The Taoist believes it is best to prevent disease in the beginning. Taoists do not study disease, instead, they study life and health and how best to maintain it's balance. Taoists most certainly know how to heal because it is necessary that they do so, but their primary concern is first and foremost the prevention of illnesses.</p>
<p>From ancient texts, we know the Taoist practitioners were aware that there were untold numbers of germs and bacteria and that it was pointless waging war on a sea of unseen microbes and trying to find ways to kill them all. They realized the sensible approach was to strengthen the body and keep it healthy so it can resist the intruders. As a result, a complete preventative method was created thousands of years ago which is as practical today as it was when it was first discovered.</p>
<h2 class="title">Shu Nu Ching</h2>
<p>This method of nurturing and sustaining the life force while strengthening the body's immune resistance for the purpose of extending life and health is outlined in the "Tao of Sex as a Prevention of Disease." The basic text of "The Tao of Sex" is the <em>"Shu Nu Ching"</em> or "The Classic of the White Madam" written over 6,000 years ago during the time of the Yellow Emperor.</p>
<p>The "Shu Nu Ching" was written in classical Chinese verse (a type of opaque poetry) with the vital secrets hidden within it's text. For thousands of years, most people were forbidden from reading it because of the genetic secrets it contained.</p>
<p>At the time, the information was transferred orally and was revealed only after following elaborate rituals that insured ultimate secrecy. Similar to many ancient Chinese arts, after a great deal of time and effort was invested in obtaining the prized information, there was no guarantee that the correct information would be revealed or that it would be revealed in it's entirety. If a person did not have the "key," the treasure could not be opened. Without the proper training and instruction, everyone was not able to read or grasp it's contents.</p>
<p>During the Sui Dynasty (approximately 1,500 years ago), the book mysteriously vanished. Fortunately, it's name and contents were recorded in the pages of history. Ancient writings describe the attainment of a healthier, wiser and extended life span through the practice of these lost sex techniques.</p>

Although bicycling has long been considered an excellent form of exercise, it's important that men take the proper precautions to ensure they are not putting their sexual health at risk. In this article we'll examine the reason why cycling can lead to problems such as impotence and discuss a few ways to help minimize the danger.</p>
<h2 class="title">E.D. Linked to Standard Bicycle Seats</h2>
<p>The main cause of the problem seems to lie in the construction of the traditional bicycle seat itself. Most common saddles feature a long protruding nose that extends outward from between the legs. Resting on this type of seat puts undue pressure on the perineum, the area located between the genital and anus, which can result in urogenital paresthesia and sexual dysfunction. The blood vessels, nerves and arteries that pass through the perineum are largely responsible for regulating sexual and erectile functioning.</p>
<h2 class="title">Taking the Pressure Off</h2>
<p>Reducing pressure on the perineum while biking is the key to alleviating the problem. One way of accomplishing this is to change the type of seat that is used. There are now a number of different seats that are designed for just this purpose.</p>

<blockquote><p><em>&quot;With few exceptions, bicycle police officers were able to effectively use no-nose saddles in their police work&#8230; Use of no-nose saddles reduced most perineal pressure&#8230; Penile health improved after 6 month using no-nose saddles as measured by biothesiometry and IIEF.&quot;</em></p></blockquote>
<h2 class="title">Additional Preventive Measures</h2>
<p>Even if you're not ready to make the switch to a new seat, there are still a few things you can do to help improve seat comfort and prevent excessive pressure on the sensitive soft tissues.</p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure that your seat height is adjusted properly. If it is too high you will tend to shift your weight from side to side which can result in perineal irritation.</li>
<li>Positioning the seat nose on a slightly downward forward angle will help to alleviate pressure on the soft tissues. Make sure not to tip it too far forward or you may experience lower back pain and hand numbness due to excessive weight on the wrists and hands.</li>
<li>You may also want to try angling the seat either slightly left or right as opposed to aligning it directly forward.</li>
<li>Be sure to stand up once in a while and adjust your riding position periodically.</li>
<li>Always take a short break if you experience tingling or numbness.</li>
</ul>

Topics ranging from the joy of experimenting with different sexual techniques to the dangers associated with penis enlargement surgery were all covered throughout the year. This is a re-cap of the highlights of some of the most popular blog entries in 2007 in case you missed them!</p>
<p>One of the most informative series of articles in 2007 covered various exercises that could be used for successful penis enhancement. The "<a href="http://www.penis-resources.com/blog/exercises/beginner-penis-exercise-routine/">Beginner Penis Exercise Routine</a>," posted on February 24th, began a 5-part series which covered basic techniques to strengthen and enlarge the penis, with the added benefit of giving men more control over and enjoyment of orgasms. Our most popular article entitled "<a href="http://www.penis-resources.com/blog/exercises/the-jelq-exercise-three/">The Jelq-Beginner Exercise Routine, Part III</a>," was posted on February 27th. The Jelq technique itself was created hundreds of years ago and has stood the test of time by remaining the single most famous technique for increasing penis size.</p>
<p>Following the success that Penis Resources Blog had early in 2007 covering basic techniques, a new approach to enhancement through Taoist exercises began in August which introduced a more advanced view of sexual enlightenment and the benefits these methods bring. If you have not yet had a chance to read these articles, "<a href="http://www.penis-resources.com/blog/advice/the-mind-body-connection/">The Mind-Body Connection</a>" was the first blog entry in the Tao series, followed by specific exercise techniques covered in "<a href="http://www.penis-resources.com/blog/exercises/introduction-to-taoist-sexual-exercises/">An Introduction to Taoist Sexual Exercises</a>." For those of you who are serious about experiencing the benefits that penis exercises will bring, you are encouraged to review and implement the techniques in this series.</p>
<p>Throughout the year, Penis Resources offered informative articles covering the many products that are often used in conjunction with an exercise program for maximum benefits. The pro's and con's are always addressed, such as in the article, "<a href="http://www.penis-resources.com/blog/mechanical-devices/downsides-of-homemade-penis-extenders/">Downsides of Homemade Penis Extenders</a>." As the industry catering to penis enhancement grows, so to do the inherent dangers that arise through misuse of 'gadgets' that are not professionally designed and geared towards improving the very sensitive areas of the male genitals. However, great breakthroughs of natural products were also covered throughout the year, such as "<a href="http://www.penis-resources.com/blog/supplements/natural-compounds-in-male-enhancement-pills/">Natural Compounds in Male Enhancement Pills</a>" (March 19th), and "<a href="http://www.penis-resources.com/blog/supplements/herbal-patches-for-penis-enhancement/">Herbal Patches for Penis Enhancement</a>" (June 12th). These were very exciting additions to natural strategies of penis improvement as these supplements have been successfully proven to increase overall effectiveness.</p>
<p>Of course, the primary goal of a larger penis is the increase in pleasure during sexual contact. It's the source of daily nutrients we need for the energy that keeps us going. It's also the little pleasure we get when we taste something that we love.</p>
<p>Most importantly, it's what keeps our bodies healthy and fit so we can fight off disease. Without enough of the right substances, our bodies will suffer from malnutrition and we will get sick. For men, what we eat also influences our overall sexual health and the health of our penises.</p>
<p>While most men probably don't associate eating with their sexual health, its actually a very significant part of regulating our bodies. Keeping blood flowing throughout our organs is primary to experiencing a healthy sex life and foods that contain ingredients that promote blood flow are essential. These substances, called vasodilators work by relaxing the smooth muscles making up the walls of blood vessels. Foods high in vasodilators are salmon, tuna, eggs, milk, liver and vegetables like broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes and tomatoes.</p>
<p>The presence of these foods in our diet and the ingredients they contain help promote the blood flow that is the key to the erection. If the circulatory system is kept in good health and blood vessels are allowing more blood to pass through the penis, erections will be strong and enhanced sexual health is achieved.</p>
