Published on March 18, 2009, this X4 Labs Press Release reveals the results of a clinical study done in conjunction with the British Journal of Urology.

Notable among the findings:

My friend Jonathon who had purchased a penis extender a few months back emailed me with a rather embarrassing story of how he managed to "bend" his device. I'll skip how he exactly managed this incredible feat, but suffice it to say that it was definitely broken.

He contacted me because he was hoping to replace some of the parts but couldn't figure out where on the manufacturer's website to do that. While I personally had never had to order replacement parts for an extender, I was a bit surprised that the information wasn't more easily accessible.

As it turns out, he had purchased the device from a company called SizeGenetics™. I visited their website and finally located the link to order spare parts – unfortunately the link didn't work. Since I've been in contact with the makers of the SizeGenetics device many times over the years regarding new product developments and such, I knew it would be a simple matter of contacting them for the information.

After speaking with their support department, I learned that they had recently redesigned their website so were in the process of ironing out all the kinks. Hopefully they'll have all their links correctly working in the near future. In the meantime, if you need to order any parts for your device you can do that by contacting them directly:

I actually spent some time reviewing several of the other popular penis extender companies and most of them do not have links to ordering replacement parts. If you need to purchase a part then I imagine contacting them via phone or through their "contact pages" would be your best bet.

On a side note, I noticed that they also offer what they call an "upgrade kit" which is supposed to help make the extenders more comfortable to wear. They also mention that this kit is compatible with 99% of all penis extenders available.

I found this interesting since I recently covered this exact topic in my Reducing Penis Extender Discomfort post. If it does actually work on most other extenders then this may be a great solution for men who experience discomfort wearing the devices!
